Discover Nature's Resilience
Welcome to
Reserva Rio Bonito
Preserving, learning, enjoying, and sharing, together in nature.
About Reserva Rio Bonito
Nestled on the Southern Nicoya Peninsula near Montezuma, Reserva Rio Bonito spans almost 70 hectares. What was once cow pasture is now lush tropical jungle and a haven of biodiversity. This private reserve offers visitors a unique opportunity to connect with nature on our network of trails spanning almost 8 km. Our mission is to provide a sanctuary where people can learn, enjoy, and share in nature, surrounded by the flora and fauna of Costa Rica.

Hiking Trails
Explore our 7 hiking trails winding through secondary and primary forests with a variety of difficulty levels. You will find challenging hikes, gentle strolls for birding, and restful benches along the way.
